A member of the crew of the NCC 1701 Enterprise, Kelowitz led one of the search parties which looked for the shuttle Galileo when it was lost in the Murasaki Quasar.2 He was also part of Kirk's landing party on Cestus III in the aftermath of the Gorn attack.3 He visited Omicron Ceti III, where he came under the influence of mind-altering plants.4
