General Chang was a Klingon warrior and advisor to Chancellor Gorkon. He was a part of the conspiracy to end any hopes of peace between the Federation and the Klingon Empire in 2293; to that end he used his advanced model Bird of Prey prototype to attack Qo'noS One in order to facilitate the assassination of Gorkon. Change later attempted to prevent Kirk from reaching the Khittomer conference, but his ship was destroyed in the battle.1
