A Klingon agent who masqueraded as a Human in the 2260s in an attempte to secure development rights to Sherman's Planet for the Empire. Darvin was uncovered by Captain Kirk.1 Abandoned by his masters, Darvin eventually ended up on Cardassia - where he was trapped for a prolonged period. He nurtured a great hatred of Kirk during this time, and used a Bajoran Orb to travel back in time in an attempt to murder Kirk. The attempt was foiled by Captain Sisko.2
