Brother of Captain Picard, Robert was a traditionalist who insisted on living life without 24th century technology. A rather cantankerous man, he nevertheless helped Picard to overcome the emotional trauma of his abduction by the Borg in 2367.1 Robert was killed in a fire in 2371 along with his son Rene.2
