Galek was the captain of a Promellian battlecruiser around the 14th century. His ship was trapped by a booby trap hidden in an asteroid belt, and the entire crew was killed. Captain Picard viewed log entries made by Galek when the Enterprise-D became stuck in the same trap a millennia later.1
