Species : Humans
Khan was a genetically engineered human who was part of the attempt to establish a tyrannical government on Earth in the 1990s. He ruled more than a quarter of the globe, including South Asia and the Middle East. He and his supporters were defeated in the Eugenics Wars; Khan and a band of other genetically enhanced persons escaped earth aboard the sleeper ship SS Botany Bay. In 1996. Picked up by the USS Enterprise in the 2260s, Khan attempted to sieze the ship with the assistance of Lieutenant MacGuyvers. The attempt failed, and Kirk marooned Khan on Ceti Alpha V to start a colony.1Six months later Ceti Alpha VI exploded, shifting the orbit of Ceti Alpha V. the planet underwent disasterous ecological devastation, making it all but impossible to survive there. Most of Khan's followers were killed, including his wife. When the USS Reliant visited the planet as part of the Genesis project, Khan siezed control of the ship and attempted to steal the Genesis device and kill Admiral Kirk. Kirk was ultimately able to defeat Khan in a battle in the Motarra nebula. Khan detonated the Genesis Device, killing himself and destroying the Reliant.2
