A renowned scientist, Dr. Graves was something of a mentor to Dr. Soong, creator of positronic androids such as Data and Lore. Graves was an ego-maniac in many respects, but suffered from crippling insecurities in others. He transferred his personality into Data shortly before his death in 2365, but ultimately agreed to remove himself.1
