One of the residents of Mariposa, Elizabeth Vallis could, like all inhabitants of the planet, trace her ancestry back to one of the original five colonists via a lineage comprising multiple generations of cloned copies. About 20% of the population of Mariposa thus consisted of clones almost identical to Elizabeth. She worked as an assistant to the Prime Minister of the planet's government during the visit of the Enterprise-D in 2365.1
