A Starfleet crewman, Janklow served aboard the USS Defiant in 2372. He was present when the ship was damaged by a Jem'Hadar attack and forced to hide in the atmosphere of a gas giant planet. Janklow was injured in an explosion on deck 2 whilst working to repair the ship.1
