A Caatati, Lumas was one of a group of refugees whom Voyager encoutnered in 2373. He accepted some donations of food from Captain Janeway, but later returned to steal the ship's warp core after it was ejected in an engineering accident. He demanded Seven of Nine be handed over in return for the core. The situation was resolved when Seven offered the design for an upgrade to the Caatati power system instead.1
