A native of a planet visited by the Enterprise in 2268, Lumo's duties in his tribe included managing the fishing nets. Whilst Kirk was living with the tribe Lumo rescued a young boy when he became entangled in the nets and almost drowned. Lumo brought the body back to the tribe, where Kirk was able to revive him. The incident convinced many of the villagers that Kirk was supernatural in origin..1
