He had an average efficiency rating of 8.8, and specialised in data flow management systems. He was a winner of the Tolley Citation for original thinking, the Kliever Citation for systems design and the Kerrey Award for positronic field research. Pacelli served on the USS Philadelphia, the USS Syracuse and the fleet yards at Utopia Planitia during his career. Whilst at Utopia Planitia he installed the starbaoard lower and portside mid-deck optical data nets in the Enterprise-D.1
