A native of Miri's planet, Jahn's childhood was greatly extended by the failed Life Extension project carried out on that world. He was the leader of a small group of feral children encountered by Captain Kirk and his landing party when they visited the planet in 2266. He was very distrustful of outsiders, and caused considerable difficulties for the lading party. Kirk was ultimately able to convince Jahn to co-operate with the crew in finding a cure for the problems caused by the life extension project.1
