A Human, Bennings lived on the Skagaran planet which the NX-01 visited in the Delphic Expanse in 2153. A deeply bigoted man, Bennings hated the Skagarans and frequently used his position to humiliate or even murder them. He disliked Captain Archer, who he saw as a Skagaran sympathiser, and attempted to kill him when he learned of his true origin. The attempt failed.1
