a Human, Bethany lived on a Skagaran planet in the Delphic Expanse. Like all the Humans she was descended from slaves who had been abducted from Earth several centuries ago. She was a quarter Skagaran herself. She did not have thebigotry towards the Skagarans that many of her follow Humans displayed, and sought to educate the local Skagaran children about the history of their people in spite of laws forbidding it. She was no fan of Cooper Smith, leader of the rebellion which had freed the Humans, believing him to be a murderer. Following Captain Archer's visit to the planet in 2153, restrictions against the Skagarans began to ease, and Bethany began to teach both Human and Skagaran together about their history.1
