A Klingon advocate since 2102, Kolos served in front of the same Klingon court from 2132 to 2152. He was Captain Archer's defence when he was tried for attacking Duras's D-5 cruiser; an honourable man, Kolos disliked the power which the warriors had gained in Klingon society over the previous decades. He spoke out against the court after Archer was found guilty, and was sentenced to a year on Rura Pente. Although he knew he was unlikely to survive the sentence, Kolos refused to leave with Archer when his crew rescued him, arguing that it was his duty to remain and try to reform Klingon society.1
