A member of a group of aliens which claimed to be gods whilst on Earth some thousands of years ago, Apollo had come to believe his own legend. He was the last of his kind, and in 2267 he demanded that Humans should once again worship him. Unfortunately for him he chose Captain Kirk as a worshipper; Kirk was not well suited for that role, and Apollo chose instead to end his own life.1
