One of the engineers who designed the engines of the Galaxy Class starship, Geordi LaForge created a holographic simulation of Brahms to assist in a difficult problem. He developed a close friendship with the hologram,1 and hoped to recreate this relationship with the real Brahms when the opportunity to work with her came up later. Unfortunately the reality proved rather less friendly than the hologram, but Geordi was eventually able to overcome their differences and strike up a good relationship with her.2
