A Suliban, Danik refused to join the Cabal as he did not agree with their goals or methods. He was nevertheless interned in a prison camp along with his daughter, Narra, by the Tandarans because he was regarded as a potential threat. Before being imprisoned he had been the Director of Research for an engineering institute in the Querella Province of Tandar Prime. Danik escaped the camp with the help of Captain Archer and the NX-01.1
