A Menk, Larr worked as a medical orderly in a Valakian hospital when the NX-01 visited his planet in 2151. When Phlox, Sato and Cutler visited a Menk village as part of their attempt to find a cure for the disease affecting the Valakians, Larr convinced them that his people were more intelligent than they were credited with by learning some English from listening to the Starfleet officers talking.1
