A Vaadwaur, Gedrin was present on his homeworld in the 15th century during the final fall of his people's Empire. He went into suspended animation along with hundreds of his people to ride out the fall. Gedrin was awakened in 2376 by Voyager's crew. He favoured finding a habitable planet for his people to settle on peacefully, and when his superior Gaul attempted to sieze Voyager Gedrin helped the ship to escape. He was killed in the battle between Voyager and the Vaadwaur forces.1
