An ancestor of Kathryn Janeway and resident of 20th century Earth, Shannon was hired by the developers of the Millennium Gate project to convince Henry Janeway to sell his bookstore to make way for the Gate. He was highly reluctant but she was ultimately able to convince him, and the Gate proceeded on schedule. Henry and Shannen married afterwards, and had several children.1
