A member of the NX-01 crew, Ensign Pierce joined the ship whilst it was at Earth being refitted after the mission to stop the Xindi weapon. He was one of the crewmembers abducted by Orion slavers when the ship entered the Borderland in search of rebel Augments, something he found to be a highly traumatic experience.1
