Koss was the arranged fiance of T'Pol; the two were due to be married in 2151, but T'pol declined to go through with the marriage because she wanted to continue with her time on the NX-01 Enterprise.2 When T'pol was involved in revealing the existence of the Vulcan spy facility beneath the P'Jem monastery, she made many powerful enemies on Vulcan. Her mother was forced to resign her post with the Science Ministry as a result. Koss offered to have her mother reinstated if T'Pol went through with the wedding, and even offered to allow her to continue serving aboard the Enterprise at least initially. T'Pol accepted his terms and the two were married in 2154.1 Koss assisted Archer in penetrating the Vulcan High Command after he recovered the Kir'Shara, leading to the removal of V'Las from the ruling council and the dissloution of the High Command itself. He granted T'Pol a divorce in the aftermath, stating that with the death of her mother she no longer had any motivation to remain his wife.3
