A Quarren investigator, Yerid was in charge of finding Commander Chakotay when he was suspected of abducting two residents of the Quarren home world. In fact Chakotay was merely attempting to recover his own crewmates who had been brainwashed to become part of the Quarren workforce, a process of which Yerid was unaware. When Chakotay informed him of the plot Yerid at first refused to believe it, but became convinced after other sources presented more proof. He helped free Voyager's crew and pledged to end the conspiracy once and for all.1
