A Kriosian princess, Kaitaama was kidnapped by a pair of Retellian criminals in 2152. When their ship encountered difficulties the NX-01 lent assistance, and the two kidnapped Trip when he discovered the plot. Trip and Kaitaama escaped the Retellian ship and took refuge on a nearby planet. Although at first Kaitaama found Trip's lack of deference difficult to deal with, the two became close and enjoyed a brief romantic relationship. The NX-01 was able to rescue the couple and Kaitaama returned to her people.1
