A member of the Hierarchy, in 2377 Zet was part of the crew which kidnapped Captain Janeway and demanded that the EMH trade Voyager's warp core for her safe return. The EMH succeeded in this mission, but nevertheless refused to surrender Janeway to him and instead took the EMH prisoner. With Voyager's help Janeway and the EMH managed to escape and recover the stolen core.1
