A Pralor robot, the Prototype was one of many failed efforts to build a new member of their 'species' which the Pralor undertook in order to replace those lost in the war with the Cravic robot army. The Pralor robots forces B'Elanna Torres to build a new power system for the Prototype to allow it function. When she learned that the Pralor and Cravic robots had destroyed their builders to allow their war to continue, she destroyed her work.1
