A Bajoran monk who lived on Deep Space Nine in 2372. When Akorem Laan ordered the Bajorans to reinstate the D'jarra caste system, Porta murdered a monk who belonged to an unclean caste. This and other actions prompted Captain Sisko to seek to gain the title of Emissary back from Akorem.1
