To complain about the American characterisation of Ireland would be utterly pointless, but I'll do it anyway. As for the rest of the episode, I find the idea of Picard treating these two colonies like an animal breeding programme utterly repugnant. People's ideas about cloning were very difficult back when this was made, and I'm almost certain that there should be a way around 'replicative fading'. Life does something similar by a process called 'recombination'. Verdict, rubbish. |
