Well-written episode, but perhaps the writers find it more interesting than the viewers. The thing I like is that they did not try to give us any particular moral position, but left it open for people to decide. We do know that Kira should not have tried to kill her mother, but what about killing Dukat? Would she have returned to a very different future if she had not saved his life? Speaking of Dukat, Marc Alamo makes him as odious as ever, although this is not quite his best performance. I'm not sure what to make of Kira Meru or what she found herself having to do. Lesley Hope certainly looks sufficiently like Nana Visitor, and she played the part fairly well. Overall, it's a half-decent episode. |
