Review : I was interested in this book. One set on the Enterprise-C with Captain Garret, a woman I liked a great deal from a short role in Yesterdays Enterprise. Unfortunately the book is slow and drags on. I didn't find the story particularly interesting which is really a shame. Rachel Garret seems far less sure of herself and a much weaker Captain than she did in the episode. I wouldn't recommend this book but if you have an interest in the characters and the Enterprise-C and you get a chance to read it for free you might as well give it a look. Hopefully you'll enjoy it more than me.

Review : To put it simply, this book was boring. The plot trudge on and the characters were very basic with a simple plot far too easy to figure out from the beginning. The psycology background of the author seemed to play against her, with very basic and predictable characters, seemingly based on disorder descriptions found in my psychology textbook. Overall I found this book very boring and a waste of a library trip.

Review : To be honest, I was looking forward to reading about a woman in a leadership role. Boy was I dissapointed. Captain Garrett came accross as very needy, immature, and totally dominated by and dependent on men. The prologue was great but then just kind of got dropped. Overall, not very satisafctory ending, plot meandered, all of which could have been forgiven if the characters held my interest at all. This is the book that actually got me to give up on the Lost Era series.
