Title : Crucible: Spock: The Fire and the Rose

Reviewer : Yetiman Rating : 4
Review : Although this novel is shorter than the first in the trilogy, which focuses on McCoy, "The Fire and the Rose" gives a deep look into the (dare I say) soul of Spock, as well as fill in the gaps between ST: The Undiscovered Country and his appearance in TNG. I'm not sure that the character of Spock is as deeply tormented as David George portrays him, but it certainly is a good read.

Review : This secomd book of the trilogy was not up to snuff with the first. It was promising, but, after I read the entire length of the Provenence of Shadows, I quite simply found this one to be too short....
