This one lists all the wars mentioned in Star Trek, or at least all the ones that I can think of or find in a serach of scripts, encyclopedias, etc. There is a degree of judgement in what to call a war and what not to. For instance, I don't class the Ansata situation as fighting a war because they
were terrorists not soldiers. Yet I do include the Cardassian-Bajoran conflict because the Bajorans must have had some sort of government to begin
with, and so the initial invasion at least would certainly be a proper war.
Where a specific name for the war was given, I have used that. Elsewhere I have used the format "X-Y war", where X and Y are the names of the combatants in alphabetical order. Sometimes I have included a modifier such as "civil war" or "planetary war" where it
seemed appropriate. The episode name listed here is the first episode in which the war is mentioned, and is not necessarily the most prominent mention.
