Ceti Alpha V

Ceti Alpha V1
Planet where Kirk abandoned Khan in 2267.1 Six months later, Ceti Alpha VI exploded. This caused a shift in the orbit of Ceti Alpha V that changed what had been a somewhat hospitable climate into one almost impossible to survive in; although the atmosphere remained breathable the surface was barren, and subjected to harsh storms. Only one native life form survived the change, a small and deadly eel. Many of Khan's followers would be killed by the creature and the harsh environment. In 2285 the USS Reliant visited the planet, investigating it as part of Project Genesis. Khan and his followers were able to capture the ship and escape the planet for good.2
