Devore sensor post
A Devore sensor post. These posts emitted a sensor pulse every 40 seconds, and had a range of ten light years. The pulse was designed to track warp fields and impulse signatures. A ship could slip past if its energy signature was low enough to be beneath the detection threshold.1
