YATI : Why the hell does Stocker send the ship straight into the Neutral Zone? Okay he's no Kirk, but I find it hard to believe that he is so incompetent that he doesn't know or care about the rules regarding trespass into the zone.
Great Moment : The regular characters do a great job portraying old men in this episode, especially Shatner as an old Kirk.
Body Count : There's one body at the outpost, although we don't see him die. One outpost member and one blueshirt die on screen on the Enterprise, one outpost member off screen.
Factoid : The story is reused for the TNG episode: "Unnatual selection".
Quote : "Give us some more blood, Chekov.' 'The needle won't hurt, Chekov.' 'Take of your shirt, Chekov.' 'Roll over, Chekov.' 'Breath deeply, Chekov.' 'Blood sample, Chekov.' 'Marrow sample, Chekov.' 'Skin sample, Chekov.' If... if I live long enough, I'm going to run out of samples." - Chekov to Sulu.
