YATI : How fast is subspace radio compared to ship speeds? In this episode Picard claims that it will take over two weeks to get any reply from Starfleet - which would be a week for the message to get there and a week for a reply to get back. Yet the ship was at a Federation Starbase just 16.6 stardate units ago - which should be about six days ago. So the ship is actually faster than its own subspace radio? Also there is considerable confusion about the name of the ship in the rift. The name on the hull is "Brittain", yet most backstage sources claim that it is called the Brattain - and this is indeed what the characters in the episode call it. So did Starfleet really paint the wrong name on the hull of one of its ships?
Great Moment : Crusher trying to convince herself that she's imagining things when all the bodies in the autopsy room sit up.
Body Count : All but one of the crew of the Brattain.
Factoid : Marina Sirtis had long been asking for more action in Troi's scenes and got to fly around in a harness for the dream sequences in this episode - unfortunately, she is deathly afraid of heights!
Quote : "To admit that you're afraid gives you strength." - Troi to Worf.
