Plotline : Riker finds himself in the year 2383, about to finalise a peace treaty with the Romulans; but the last thing he remembers is collapsing in a cave sixteen years ago. He must struggle to work out what is real and what is illusion as somebody plays mind games with him...

YATI : When Riker wakes up in sickbay, he's told that he's been in a coma for ten days. So why is he still wearing a uniform? Fake-Crusher blames the computer problems on a 'processing attenuator'. Later, Riker says it is the fault of a 'processing accelerator'.
Great Moment : It's fun spotting all the differences in the future Enterprise.
Body Count : Zero.
Factoid : The turbolift scene between Riker and his son was added at the last minute, when it became clear that the script as written was not going to last long enough.

This episode opens with Riker's birthday. According to "The Icarus Factor" he was born in 2335, so this is his 32nd birthday. Since this episode has a Stardate of 44286.5, if we follow the TNG Stardate formula of 1000 Stardate units = 1 year precisely, then Riker's Birthday is on the April 15th.

Quote : "Shut up! As in, close your mouth and stop talking!" - Riker to the fake Picard.
