Once Upon A Planet

Series : The Animated Series Rating : 2 Random Image
Disc No : 6 Episode : 9
First Aired : 3 Nov 1973 Stardate : 5591.2
Director : Hal Sutherland Year : 2268
Writers : Chuck Menville, Len Janson Season : 1
Guest Cast :
George Takei as Amusement Park ComputerJames Doohan as Gabler
James Doohan as White RabbitMajel Barrett as Queen of Hearts
Nichelle Nichols as Alice
Plotline : Arriving at the "amusement park" planet for some R&R, the Enterprise finds that the planet's Caretaker has died. Without supervision the machinery has begun focusing on dangerous images from the visitor's thoughts...
Analysis : It's unfortunate that the animated series once again chose to re-hash a TOS episode rather than do something original. That said, this does put a different twist on the original and so creates a somewhat darker story.

YATI : A couple of uniform errors; Chapel is shown with a black collar on her uniform, and Spock is shown with his insignia on the wrong side.
Great Moment :
Body Count :
Factoid : The Caretaker's tombstone says that he died in the 7009th year of operation.

My year for this episode is estimated from the Stardate; it is one of a group of TAS episodes set between 'For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky' and 'Is There in Truth no Beauty?'
