Plotline : Enterprise discovers a planet in the Expanse which has six thousand Humans living on it. The Humans have re-created the American old west, complete with an alien species which functions as slaves. Archer must decide whether to reveal the truth about Earth to the inhabitants of a local town, a decision complicated by a deputy sheriff with a habit of lynching those he doesn't get on with.

YATI : It makes no sense that the Humans here are stuck in the old west after all this time. They obviously have the capacity to manufacture guns, which means that they have factories, metallurgy, chemistry, and engineers and scientists to make it all work. If so, then there is no reason why their technology shouldn't improve over time. Okay with a small population base maybe they wouldn't have advanced to the point of building Starships or anything, but they certainly should have got well beyond the whole western thing.

Also, where did Archer and Trip get their guns from? Can Enterprise manufacture stuff like this without replicator technology? Or does Reed have an ancient weapon collection like Worf did?

Great Moment : Archer wins another fight, even after being shot! Plus I also liked Reed's "shoot the hostage" solution to T'Pol being captured. Direct, sensible, practical, and it involved shooting people - a perfect Reed plan.
Body Count : One alien hung at the beginning. Several people are – presumably – stunned during the battle, including T'Pol by Reed. Bethany is shot but recovers, Archer got shot in the shoulder but recovers.
Factoid : Archer was born in upstate New York.
Quote : "They kidnapped the wrong people." – Archer to T'Pol. Yay humans!
