Our Man Bashir

Review

Series : Deep Space Nine Rating : 4
Disc No : 4.3 Episode : 81
First Aired : 27 Nov 1995 Stardate : Unknown
Director : Winrich Kolbe Year : 2372
Writers : Robert Gillan Season : 4
Guest Cast :
Andrew J. Robinson as Elim Garak
Avery Brooks as Doctor Hippocrates Noah
Colm Meaney as Falcon
Kenneth Marshall as Michael Eddington
Marci Brickhouse as Mona Luvsitt
Max Grodenchik as Rom
Melissa Young as Caprice
Michael Dorn as Duchamps
Nana Visitor as Colonel Anastasia Komananov
Terry Farrell as Professor Honey Bare
YATI : So, why does the Honey Bare character (Dax) carry a handcuff key around in her pocket? I mean, she's a scientist right? She's not a guard or anything. Does she have her own set of handcuffs for... er... recreational purposes?
Great Moment : As well as being a fan of submarine movies, I also like James Bond. This episode is just a hoot!
Body Count : Zero.
Factoid : Bashir's holoprogram is, obviously, a tip of the hat to the James Bond world and other such super-spy stories.
Quote : "I do apologise. You must be incensed. In fact, if I were in your shoes I would grab a bottle of champagne and shoot me." - Garak to Bashir

Plotline

While Bashir is playing at secret agent on the holodeck, a transporter emergency causes the computer to dump the neural patterns of Sisko, Dax, Kira, O'Brien and Worf into the holodeck pattern, re-creating them as characters in his drama. Now Bashir must play the game for real, without harming any of the baddies or doing anything to end the program.
