Sticky, wet snow is the worst. Weighs down, hard to shovel and makes the entire task that much worse.

Just got my next assignment, a week in brazil for carnival then down to Antarctica for 2 week cruise.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

That snow storm we experienced in the East Coast of the US, hah. My area, had bad wind. A result of a lack of trees to block wind. Anyway I had a windbreaker. A eight foot raised truck. That thing blocked enough snow to cover my whole car like it wasn't there.

Stuff like that makes me actually appreciate our mosquito/tic/etc killing winter weather.

So, my car's brakes have started to go. I found this out while driving. "Okay, I'm pushing the pedal. Why am I not slowing down as much as I should?!" Kinda scary. Luckily I was close to home and had enough control to 'glide' it in. With this, the heater going and that it's eighteen years old... I think it's time for me to get a new car.

Where they making any noise before that? Grinding, squealing? Did they feel like they grinded even if you didn't hear it?

How is your rotors? When was the last time you changed your pads? Brake fluid?

Or even just water in the break fluid. A cracked brake line can do that. Makes for very squishy breaks.

No sounds, just the pedal suddenly went in too far. Yes, the brake lines are leaking badly. However, I just had the brakes fixed not too long ago. Not to mention new wiring needed, the heater's going again and other stuff that's needed work and rework...

That sucks, I just did my rear brakes from the drums up. It really should be a law that audible indicators are included on all new pads.

That would be one hell of a good idea, Mikey.

I think about 50 - 60% of manufacturers do include them, but they are by no means standard, and brake wear is even more situationally variable than oil life.

My current ones don't have them. Gotta replace then soon.
