Trek themed cocktails

Post by colmquinn »

I'm planning on having some friends around and I'd like to make up some Star Trek themed coctails, the usual Romulan Ale etc are great but any ideas on something new? Alcohol is not essential but prefered :D

Anythign with Midori or Blue Curacao. They're a little girly-sweet for my taste, but they give a drink a nice, almost-neon alien glow.

And as long as nobody touches it, a couple tiny chunks of dry ice will cause a drink to emit a suitably weird fog.

Curaco is good.

One thing I made randomly while drunk that turned out to be ok:

Half a pint of cider (strongbow it was)
A shot of Smirnoff
Shot of JD
Angastora (pronounced Ang-ah-store-ah, dunno if i spelled it right)
Fresh Peach juice

Stir well, serve with Ice

I think you mean "Angostura bitters."

A simple Old Fashioned is nice, too: muddle a sugar cube in a rocks glass, add ice cubes, add bourbon + a dash of bitters. If you add a maraschino cherry and some of the juice, it will take on an eerie, orange-ish color.
