"The last time we saw someone bend so far over backwards to justify their evolutionary vision it came marching under a red flag with a bent X on it." Pretty much sums up the entire episode.

Got the science wrong, got the morality wrong, it just got everything wrong, and didn't even manage to include anything entertaining. I dub this ep, epic fail. The whole point of this ep seemed to be to justify the future existence of the prime directive...which it fails to do because they end up NOT getting involved. They follow a directive that doesn't even exist yet for no reason. This could have been the start of the prime directive if they had gotten involved, and ended up screwing things up even worse, thus providing one of those unspecified examples Picard glossed over as to why getting involved with primitive races is a bad idea.

Other then T'Pol stretching for the coming cuming... the ep was just a pure waste of time. A shame since several of the topics covered could have made for some very interesting story arcs.

Its been said before. They could have done so much more with the "intro" into the Prime Directive. Have the crew take action. Give some weapons to a weak planet or something to protect itself, then come back next season and find out they've become conquerors.

The comment about T'Pol opening her mouth wide was a bit of a surprise. 4:37.

Was that digitally enhanced or have we discovered the source of Jolene Blaylock's career?

A 1 is better than this episode deserves, should have been a 0.

She's a hot Trekkie, its not shocking to think it would land her a career.

She's hot, but no more so than many others.

Hoshi was the hottest piece of tail in Enterprise.

Though I don't go for blondes usually, Seven has her beat. Not by much, but I'd take Seven over Hoshi if I had to pick.

Though if I somehow magically wound up in a position where I could actually make a choice between them I'd have to ask whoever is responsible for this magic why I'm having to pick in the first place, I'll take both.

I always had a thing for Jadzia. But I think Terry Farrel didn't aged well.

Eh, something about Jadzia just never clicked with me. She's a reasonably attractive woman there was just something that never let her go over the top to actually being desirable. I think it was the hair.

Or that she used to be a man.

...nah, the hair.

Unlike Seven, Hoshi put out......putting her at the top.

Jadzia put out too, but she seemed to be the "wanting a friend type".
