Yeah, Deepcrush. Seeing the two have to work together against the aliens...

If any show deserves a revival, it's this one!

Yeah, it would've. :)

I do love the E-frames, too. Small and efficient.

Maybe we should make one up on here? Does anyone like that idea?

That would be pretty cool, actually. A little role-playing tribute to an awesome series.

But we would need a fleet list for both. I think I would need the help of the math boys on this one. I study military history and tactics not math!

I'd be happy to help out with the maths part, if someone can tell me what I'm supposed to do. :)

What I'll need first is an over view of the two fleets. First lets do the Exo-fleet. We'll need stats on each class of ship so I've narrowed it down to make it a little easier.

The exo-fleet has shown
Carriers - 6 of which were their version of super-carriers or heavy-carriers. So only a small part of the fleet would be in parted to this. Massive numbers of exo's and AAWs. Thick armor and a few heavy forward guns. Very large.

Escort Carriers - Smaller numbers of exo's and a large number of AAWs but no heavy weapons. They would be more like raiders then up close ships. Hit&run style I would think. Also these would be small, about the size of a cruiser.

Battleships - I don't remember seeing any of these but they would be nice to have. Say the same numbers as the heavy carriers. Massive guns! Lots of them! But not very good against exo's due to few AAWs. Very heavy armor and very large.

Battle cruisers - They had so heavy ships that didn't really match up to the carriers so they should fall here. Battleship style weapons but on cruiser hulls. Times 2 of the battleships numbers. These would be the cheap kind of battleship. Lots of heavy weapons but much less armor and more AAWs.

Cruisers - This was the bulk of the fleet so I would base most of the numbers here. Split between half heavy-cruisers and half light-cruisers. In total the cruisers should take up about half of the fleet. Mostly medium weapons with the heavy cruisers maybe having just a few heavy weapons. A fair amount of AAWs.

Frigates and destroyers - I would count these as not the most needed ships in the fleet as exo's could do most of the needed scouting and would leave these ships as pickets or sensor boats. Fast and nimble. Good amount of AAWs for their size. Only light weapons with maybe a medium added for good measure. Little armor.

I would think a fleet of 100 ships would look like this.

5 Heavy carriers
10 Escort carriers
5 Battleships
10 Battle cruisers
25 Heavy cruisers
25 Light cruisers
10 Frigates
10 Destroyers

How does this sound Rochey. It would make for a good Callow formation I would think? Or maybe a trident formation? What do you think?

That one took awhile to write up as I tried to stay true to Exo-Squad.

You've got a nice scattering of ships there. You could probably use the battleships as an excelent force at the front, supported by lighter vessels with the carriers to the rear, giving fighter support.

Exactly what would you like me to do with them? Keeping in mind I've never even heard about this show before now.

Go to myspace and type in Exo-squad. A guy there has the whole series online for free to watch. I think that would give you some insight. You could watch the whole series in one day if you wanted to. Each ep is only 20 min long.

I'll need size and crew of the ships. Numbers of exo's per ship and what type of weapons they use. The fleet operates like a WWII fleet as neither side seems to move very fast and they take breaks between battles that last as much as a few months and sometimes more.

Is this something you can handle?
