Theres green torpedo looking things flying around, but I can't tell if they're torpedos or a pulse weapon.

Look at their point of origin - those are disruptors.

Perhaps you're right. Still leaves the question of why the GEN torpedoes were green, though.

Was it ever stated in cannon that those are infact massive bunker/planet-busting disruptors?

I mean, it's just my opinion, but those shots look a lot more like torpedoes than disruptors to me.

They fire pretty darn quickly for torpedoes, or at least for Klingon torpedoes.

True enough, its assumption. but they looks like uber disruptors to me.

There's also their sound. Torps sound like a passing missile where the disruptors have a different sound from their emitters.

It may be guess work all around but to me they are disruptors.

Well if the torpedoes from GEN was in fact some sort of enhanced torpedo, they were't really doing too much damage. From the damage we have seen we got some small breaches and buckling.

If they were enhanced it was only in that they improved their color coding... :P

You're a bit buggered if you cant see the bloomin difference.

"fire the red ones"

"which ones?"

"those ones!"

-moments later-

"I SAID RED ONES"

-gets shot for insubordination-

That was definitely a dumb move.
Riker is at the command of the most powerful ship of the Federation, capable of firing multiple Phaser strikes per seconds and torpedoes in bursts of 4-5 at a time every 2-3 seconds, and he has Worf fire 1 single shot.
They could have overwhelmed the BoP's defences with the firepower they had.
The E-D was taking a pounding, yes, but it took what, 14-20 shots before the Warp Core gave in?
While being unshielded?
They should have had more than enough time to pulverize the BoP if Riker had been a bit brighter, and they didn't even need to figure out the shield trick
The truth always depends on which side of the fence you're standing... ;)

Anytime you're in a bad position you need to do only one thing... "Mr Worf, you may fire at will."
