Brief: This battle is an meeting of Cardassian Forces and Ferengi Forces.

Cardassian: 2nd Order

Battlecruisers: 50 Prefect Class Battle Cruisers
Cruisers: 15 Akira Class Cruisers, 45 Zeutor Class Cruisers
Destroyers: 15 Defiant Class Destroyers, 300 Hideki Class Frigates

Total: 425 Ships

Ferengi: 1st Ferengi Expeditionary Fleet

Battlecruisers: 250 D'Kora Class Battlecruisers, 30 Profit Class Battle Cruisers
Cruisers:
Destroyers: 100 Gorn Destroyers, 40 Miranda Class Destroyers

Total: 420 Ships

Opening Moves: Both commanders have been sent a copy of the opening map to deploy on. They need to organize their forces and deploy them on the map. You must designate a flag ship and tell me which group it is in. This will be known to both sides once the battle starts. Deployment is accomplished by simply using MS paint to fill in a cell and then writing a number in it to correspond with the groups you setup. The Cardassians are Red and will occupy the top 1/3rd of the map. The Ferengi forces are blue and will occupy the bottom 1/3rd of the map. Good luck!

Ok, I read the rules, I'm just really slow, what exactly gets setup, I know the 16 subgroups and the 8 group types, I don't get exactly what to send you as to my setup...

I've got a problem. The only computer access I have for a while is at work and it doesn't HAVE a paint program.

Ok, two solutions.

1. Nick, what you are looking to do in your setup is to decide how to split your ships up. You want a balance between just one or two giant units, which would have the most firepower concentrated on a target, and a bunch of very small units, which could just get run over.

What you need to submit to me is something along the lines of this.

Group 1
25 Dkora

Group 2
25 Dkora

Group 3
30 Profits

Group 4-8
25 Gorn Destroyers

If you want to mix ships within a group that is fine as well. Just no more than 8 types in each subgroup (should not be an issue here).


2. Mark, just divide up your ships and describe your formation in the email. I can get it close enough for you this time.
