Oh I drooled when I saw the Defiant.

I just prefered Twilight.

I'll give that one a pass. Twilight was actually REALLY good. Just a pity they never did anything with it. Yes, alternate universe blah blah blah, but some of the ideas could have been used. Would have been a bit cliche but still interesting to see the biggest bigot on the ship starting to be attracted to the resident Vulcan.

And let her grow her fucking hair out.

I liked almost all the Enterprise episodes (to the exception of the last one, but even so). I believe it was the best series of them all, with the most potential. I can understand other people not sharing that view, but I can't understand why there is so much hate for Enterprise and why there is such a vocal need to demonstrate that hate. Sort of peeves me when people go out of their way to crap on something just because they simply don't like. What about the people who do? No bloody respect or consideration for them.

Anyway, that's my rant. I could go on, and waste a lot of time doing so, but I figure I got my point across. I actually like all the Star Treks. Almost equally, except Enterprise is slightly on top. Deep Space Nine used to be near the bottom until I sort of matured into the show recently. Now it's practically my favorite, except second to Enterprise. Still, I pretty much grew up with The Next Generation and The Original Series, so it's really hard to pick favorites. Nonetheless, I like Enterprise the best. Even with whatever contradictions or inconsistancies, which are very few, it's still not hard to connect all the dots. All it takes is a little immagination. Sad to find many "fans" who lack that ability.

Well, it's sort of the point of a forum to have people express their views. It's certainly not an indictment of any person who holds a different opinion. I think a big part of many people's opinion of ENT isn't just a value judgement of the series as much as the fact that it shit all over previously-established 'Trek. Welcome, BTW. :)

Enterprise for me is fun, but not as deep as the rest, which is why I don't like it so much, one of the reasons I hate VOY, not only is t not deep, but whenever they get close they royally screw up, however, my favorite episode of all time, The Thaw is a VOY episode, so they got it right sometimes... Not very often, but yeah. That's my problem with ENT, it's not so much the inconsistencies, it's the fact that it doesn't teach me something, or at least reveal an innate part of humanity. We get a huge number of those in DS9, as well as a few in TOS and TNG, but for the most part ENT was about the glitz and special effects, not the story of it.

And welcome to the Forums, hope to see you come along fairly often, it's always nice to have people unafraid to state their opinions even if they are vastly outnumbered.

Welcome!

But Mikey hit it head on. When it comes to contradictions and inconsistency Voy took the cake. But with Ent it was the constant insults to Trek Canon. Which while not always bad if you're fixing something. It becomes bad if the reason for the changes are purely because the of the failure of the writers to read what came before them.
