As our RPs are dwindling, I've been thinking about doing something a bit different. What would you guys say to a nBSG or a SG RP?

The Stargate RP is pretty self explanitory. We can either be based from Earth, or a new base on the edge of our galaxy, exploring say the Andromida galaxy.

The nBSG RP would be a bit trickier. We could either have our own Battlestar or whatnot that somehow escaped the cylon attack, take place in the past during the first cylon war, during peace with the cylons, or even in an alternate reality.

What do you guys think?

I would be up for a BSG one. Though I would need guidence from time to time.

SG, well I don't know anything beyond the characters of the original show. Oh, I also know I hate replicators (but love them at the same time).

And I'm with Stitch, replicators are nasty.

With everyone so busy and so many RPs already going. It might be best to not add anymore for the time being.

@ Stitch, Nick: Really the only thing you have to know about SG is the origional, Atlantis got us info on the ancients...and Universe is still not really all that usable

@ Deep, most of our RP's have kinda fallen appart....The Daystrom, WH40k, and Enterprise are the only ones still really going IIRC, the fantasy and crossover have all but died AFAIK

The thing is that all of the ones still going are at a greatly reduced pace. To me, its a clear sign we over stretched our abilities to keep up.

I'm open to some new ideas for said game. One I had is the ability for multiple posting for multiple characters. For example, in a nBSG RP say Staplic has "John" a Viper pilot and "Steve" the Marine commander. He posts for "John", and can't do so again until two other people post (or one depending on how many people play), but can still post for "Steve".

Well, either way...

I vote for Stargate. A lot more room for RPing.

well the current vote is 3-2 in favor of SG

For the first series we can keep it in generally familiar territory. An escaped faction of Goua'uld have set up shop in the Andromida galaxy, and the SGC has decided to do something about that, or some such

sounds good...I'm putting my vote in for Osiris or Sekhemet (I don't think either of those were used)...also, do we have a Daedalus-Class ship?
